We love expressing our fitness, in all its forms, from playing sports like rugby and netball through to individual expressions like triathlons and ultra-marathons.
We were super proud to see one of our members complete his first triathlon last month and are currently helping train another member for one of the worlds great challenges, the Tor Des Geants in Italy.
One of the most popular ways to express your fitness outside of the gym is through Obstacle Course Racing (OCR).
Participation in events here in NZ is booming, so much so that OCR is now the world’s number one mass participation sport according to its world governing body.
This popularity is even seeing the sport being touted as a possible Olympic event as soon as Japan 2020 Closer to home, we have events like Tough Guy and Gal, Mud and Guts and Born Survivor to name but a few.
Combining fitness, mud and a little fear, these are fantastic ways to get out of the gym and express your fitness. To help you prepare for extreme obstacle races, we’ll be hosting a 6-week group, twice per week plus special running homework to get you fit for the climbs!
